Les réfugiés de Dadaab (Kénya)

Le camp de réfugiés de Dadaab au Kénya est le plus vieux et le plus grand camp de réfugiés dans le monde. Situé à 80 kilomètres de la frontière de la Somalie dans le désert kényen, le camp fut d’abord construit (en 1991) comme refuge temporaire pour les Somaliens expatriés. Mais 17 ans plus tard, près de 500 réfugiés se rendent chaque jour à Dadaab. La population du camp s’établit maintenant au nombre stupéfiant de 230,000 personnes et peu ont l’intention de quitter.
Les réfugiés dépendent des dons pour survivre. Il y a peu d’emplois dans le camp et peu à faire. L’ennui et le désespoir y sévissent. Pour quelques-uns, la vie dans le camp est tout ce qu’ils connaissent. Les premiers bébés qui y sont nés ont maintenant 17 ans. Les nouveaux arrivants aussi bien que les anciens du camp espèrent être déplacés ailleurs – au Kénya, au Canada, aux États-Unis – n’importe où ailleurs qu’au camp qui n’avait été prévu que comme un refuge temporaire.

Tintin en Irak – 1
Oui, ce livre existe bel et bien. Et la présente publication sur citizen zoo existera jusqu’à ce que la famille Hergé m’envoie ses avocats… parce qu’ils ont les nerfs sensibles dans cette famille quand il s’agit du rejeton (je pense ici au défunt quebec.qc.ca)… Je publierai donc le plus régulièrement possible 4 planches à la fois jusqu’à ce que vous ayez l’édition complète. Et à vous, fans de Tintin, je vous promets une surprise à ce moment-là.
